Woodstock: 50 Years of Peace and Music

53 years ago today, a rock festival in Woodstock helped define a generation. Today our guests are Dan Bukszpan and Karen M. Greenburg, who created the gorgeous book “Woodstock: 50 Years of Peace and Music”.  

Their unique book captures the magic — from concert details, never-before-published photos and tales of the brown acid — to interviews with the attendees and the artists 50 years later. 

(Your host Gail was among a half million young people there.  At 14 years old she can be glimpsed in the Woodstock movie, which zooms in on her twirling a daisy.  Her photos and stories are also featured in the book.)

Russell Targ discusses his new book Third Eye Spies - Learn Remote Viewing from The Masters, showing just how Ingo Swann, Pat Price and Hella Hammid  demonstrated and developed remote viewing talents and used them to uncover classified material and secret sites, for intelligence projects that are no longer classified.  Topics range from precognitive dreams and outbound remote viewing, to the proven physics of quantum entanglement that may hold the key to how remote viewing transcends space and time.  

Russell shares the history of remote viewing from its origins in the Theosophical Society, including startling results where the structure of atoms and features of Jupiter were revealed to remote viewers years before they were confirmed scientifically.  He explains how brokers used associative remote viewing to earn a quarter million dollars in the silver market.

Shaman Ayangat Udgun visited our studio from Mongolia for an interview.  She is the leader of Mongol Tenger Unen, which preserves and promotes Mongolian shamanic traditions and Tengerism, collaborating with supporters and followers around the world.  Ayangat discusses Mongolian Shamanism and the most recent books their organization has published. She shares the history of Chinggis Khaan and explains using images from their gorgeous, detailed book about the 13th century. This episode can be viewed by Mongolians as well as English speakers, since both languages are used during the interview, thanks to her translator Elma.

Christina shares some of her experiences and intimate relationships with the Quero Indians in Peru and her newest book, Encounters with Living Language.  She shares about her mystical childhood as a seer of the unseen, and describes Lucid and Transcendent dreaming and Illumination, which have provided a lifelong path for her.

Po Chun Liu is one of the most powerful women in international sports -- the first woman international baseball umpire of Taiwan, breaking gender barriers. She is also a social worker, and founder of Taiwan Sport Forward Association, which helps young girls with their athletic careers. Po Chun was also the most famous teenage psychic in Taiwan.  As shown on the HBO show The Teenage Psychic, she was known as the Holy Maiden at the local temple, where she spoke to ghosts of deceased people who came to her, and offered advice from the spirits. We also talk about the experiences both of us had as teenagers who were psychic.

René has been a professional trombonist for the Temptations, Natalie Cole and Johnny Mathis.  He has been a sound healer for more than 30 years. For many years he has studied and performed with renowned South American sound healer Tito La Rosa. He also studied with Angeles Arrien, and Kashaya-Pomo elder Lorin Smith. Janay is a medium, clairvoyant, Angelic reader and sound healer. They play their instruments to individuals and groups to support their highest growth with Vibrational-Light and love. In this episode they speak about plant medicines and the meaning of the 4 directions, and demonstrate instruments they use from ancient as well as modern times, such as flutes from all over the Americas, the didgeridoo, the Shakapa and the Chimu Whistling Water Vessel, Silbadora.
